So Much Tradition

Carol Becker, the owner of William Greenberg is no stranger to decadent cakes or flaky pastry. She started baking for fun, giving loaves of Challah to friends who were always wowed. They were so popular and her friends encouraged her to start a baking business and she opened the Bread & Batter bakery. She refined her skills in 2001 by attending the Institute of Culinary Education and in 2008 purchased William Greenberg Desserts. To maintain the bakery's long standing heritage, she chose to continue with the original William Greenberg recipes, prepared by the bakers who have been at William Greenberg for years.

“There is so much tradition in this store. I’ve learned so much from my bakers and everyone who comes in has a story about the place: their parents’ wedding cake, pastries done for a holiday or family celebration. It’s a really special place,” says Becker.
