...Today marks the first day of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year festival. The city quiets down noticeably during these two days as the Jewish community celebrates their New Year. For many it is celebrated with a big dinner on the eve of the holiday for family and friends. It’s been a long and arduous year for many and we can only hope and pray for a bright and happy and peaceful new year for all of our Jewish brethren as well as all our brethren in this mixed up violent world of ours.
